Different types of hacksaws and there uses

Hack Saw

Hacksaw is the one of the most used and familiar mechanical hand tool. It is a fine tooth saw attached with a frame by tension, generally used to cut metals and plastics.  There is a handle in the frame to hold the hacksaw during operation.
There are mainly two types of hacksaw manually and Power Hacksaw or Electrical Hacksaw.  The manual hack saw have a small version name Junior Hacksaw.

The power hacksaw consists of  a motor driven by electricity or sometime it is connected to some stationary engine to drive the hacksaw. Most power driven hacksaw are stationary but there are some portable power hacksaw exists for special purpose.

The blades available for the hacksaw is generally 10 – 12 inch. But it varies with the purpose and the type. For Junior hacksaws the size of the hacksaws are half of the original size and for the powered hacksaw the size maybe larger.  The pitch of the teeth varies from fourteen to thirty two teeth per inch (TPI) for a hand blade and it decrease as few as three TPI for power hacksaw.
